TMV: Marketing Manager

Role Overview The Marketing Manager is a hands-on executor and emerging strategist who keeps TMV visible, relevant, and growing across all channels. This person owns the content calendar, drives event planning, manages a part-time podcast team, and actively builds and nurtures the sponsorship relationships that fuel our events and brand. They are equally comfortable writing a client newsletter and managing a budget, and they take pride in keeping TMV's marketing engine running at a high level day-to-day.
Core Responsibilities
Content and Communications
- Write and distribute client and candidate newsletters on a consistent cadence
- Create or delegate social media content across platforms; own and manage the content calendar
- Ensure all content is on-brand, on-message, and published on schedule
- Support podcast production by managing the part-time podcast team and maintaining publishing consistency
Event Planning and Execution
- Lead planning and logistics for TMV's recurring events
- Manage event timelines, vendor relationships, attendee communications, and on-site coordination
- Work proactively within a set event budget; track spend and report to leadership
- Identify opportunities to expand event programming as the brand grows
Sponsorship and Advertising Development
- Help build and nurture TMV's sponsorship base across events and content channels
- Prospect for new sponsorship and advertising opportunities including podcast sponsorships, digital placements, and partnership deals
- Support the creation of sponsorship decks and outreach materials
- Track sponsor commitments, deliverables, and renewals
Team and Budget Management
- Manage a podcast and marketing team
- Delegate content and production tasks effectively; maintain accountability across the team
- Track marketing budget spend and flag variances to leadership
Ideal Candidate
- 3–5+ years in a marketing role with a mix of content, events, and sponsorship experience
- Strong writer who can produce client-facing communications independently
- Comfortable managing a small team and external vendors
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple channels and deadlines simultaneously
- Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, resourceful, and not waiting to be told what to do
- Experience in professional services, staffing, recruiting, or mission-driven organizations is a plus
